Century Villages at Cabrillo

Project overview.

The campus includes Gateway Apartments, Anchor Place, Beacon Apartments, and The Cove, encompassing more than 400 affordable family homes alongside a community health clinic and social services. Century Housing received the former military site in 1997 under the federal McKinney Act for the benefit of people experiencing homelessness. The campus has served more than 1,300 residents, including over 550 veterans.

Three building wings form courtyards that open onto a Grand Lawn for larger gatherings. Interior colors carry through the exterior palette, while acoustic materials help manage sound.

A community room with a professional kitchen supports cooking and preparation lessons. Other facilities include social services, a live/work room, a large reception area in a second wing, a family health clinic serving veterans and their families, and outdoor gathering spaces.
